NorthWest Haflingers is located near the Columbia River on the northern edge of Oregon State, near Hood River. Our focus is for our Haflingers to be all purpose family horses. As well as excellent representatives of the breed.
Our motto: Breeding For Performance - our philosophy of the purpose of our horses. While we definitely enjoy our horses being pretty, they must also have the temperament to be easy to train, dependable for adults and children, and willing partners in whatever task we ask of them. Performance goes far beyond 'good movement'. Performance includes good movement, solid and dependable and trainable disposition. Producing good looking Haflingers with the mental and physical ability to
PERFORM is our goal. We think we are doing that. Producing kind, honest, athletic Haflingers that are a joy to behold.
Dayl is an AHR (American Haflinger Registry) member and approved Senior Judge. Dayl has judged all-breed horse shows from Showmanship and Halter to Western, English, and Driving. If you are looking for an all-breed Judge that has experience in most all phases of horse show judging, especially Haflinger classes, contact us for your next show.
On the following pages will be photos of some of our horses. We are a small operation and keep our numbers low. Some of the horses shown we had before, some we have now. Each has contributed to our very successful, although limited showing and breeding program. Quality, not quantity is what we focus on.
We also raise and show quality Cardigan Welsh Corgi dogs for farm/family/
